You’re Not Going to Believe Who Was Named in This Controversial List of Top Female Singers: “Worst Take.”

You Won’t Believe Who Was Named in This Controversial Top Female Singers List: “Worst Take.”

Whoever the “ULL” is, they’ll have to explain themselves.

According to the ranking, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, JoJo, Lady Gaga, Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Ashlee Simpson, Tina Turner, Adele, and Addison Rae are the best female singers of all time, in ascending order.

Users on social media expressed a range of emotions, from anger to befuddlement.

“How is Taylor Swift not on this list nor Alicia Keys? I can’t take this seriously,” one Twitter user wondered.

The addition of TikTok star Addison Rae, who released her debut single “Obsessed” in March 2021, perplexed even more people.

“Why is addison rae on the same list as whitney houston, beyonce, and aretha franklin yall are liars,” one person tweeted about Addison’s tenth place finish.

This list, however, appears to be bogus.

“Rankings generated from data gathered by the ULL,” states Barstool Sports in the bottom right corner of the ranking.

A quick Google search of “ULL” led us to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, though no studies on female singers appear to have been published recently.

If the school came to this conclusion, it appears that they are biased towards Louisiana natives, such as Addison Rae, a 21-year-old TikTok star who is from Lafayette.

Regardless, the response to the ranking demonstrates that these so-called ULL researchers need to recalculate their findings.
