Man Utd confirm all Old Trafford plans with replacing fans and atmosphere – Latest News

There have been talks over piping in artificial crowd noise to enhance the viewing experience for supporters watching on TV.

The club have announced that they will be using images of supporters from around the world to “inspire the players” until it is deemed safe enough for fans to be allowed to attend games.

Manchester United have come up with a unique plan to try and replace the loss of fans and atmosphere at Old Trafford

Old Trafford will not be full to its 75,000 capacity

So the club are planning to create a mosaic of fans

In a statement United said: “We know that nothing can replace the roar of the Old Trafford crowd as a packed stadium filled with thousands of Reds gets behind the team.

Manchester United have asked fans to help create a mosaic at Old Trafford when Premier League action returns.

But United have come up with their own plans to enhance the Old Trafford atmosphere.

“We’ll still be working to make an empty Old Trafford look amazing for the team and for the millions watching at home, including an incredible mosaic image featuring our loyal fans.

“But as the Premier League kicks off again next week behind closed doors, health guidelines mean our fans sadly can’t be present at the Theatre of Dreams for the vital remaining matches this season.

“Whether you’re normally at Old Trafford for every game, or have never seen the Reds live and have always dreamed of taking your seat in the stadium, fans from near and far can have the opportunity to be inside the ground – supporting the players in virtual fashion from our famous stands so steeped in history.”

“The image will then be stored at our museum, to remember this unprecedented time when football had to temporarily be without the fans that make it so special.

“We’ll use the images to create a mosaic of our fans from across the globe to inspire the players during our home matches until real crowds return.

United’s season is set to resume next week with an away trip to Tottenham, with their first home game against Sheffield United taking place on June 24th.
