What we know about the Walkers crisp shortage after the company apologizes, and when crisps might be available again

The company has promised to get the snacks back on track, but it could take weeks due to IT system problems.

This year, everything from fuel to fake tan has been in short supply in the United Kingdom.

But now there’s a new shortage that might be the most upsetting of all: Walkers crisps have been disappearing from store shelves.

Everything you need to know about the crisp shortage is right here.

The shortfall is due to Walkers’ IT system being updated, which had some glitches.

The company claims the issues have been resolved, but they have caused its factories to operate at less than full capacity.

“A recent IT system upgrade has caused some of our products to be unavailable,” a company spokesperson said.

Crisps and snacks are still made at our sites, but on a smaller scale.

“We’re doing everything we can to boost production and restock popular items.”

We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Walkers is focusing on its most popular flavors, including ready salted, salt and vinegar, and cheese and onion, as well as snacks like Quavers and Wotsits.

“They had a change to their systems, and the change took much longer than expected,” a spokesman for Poundstretcher told BusinessLive.

“In our most recent order, instead of receiving 26 pallets – the equivalent of a truckload – we received only seven cases, which isn’t even a pallet-full.

That’s how bad it is.

“I was in Tesco the other day and the crisps shelves were empty, so I believe the larger supermarkets are being hit harder because their sales volume is higher.”

Walkers’ factories will not be able to resume normal production until the end of the month, according to the company.

As a result, the shortage is expected to last for several weeks.

On average, people in the United Kingdom consume two bags of crisps per week.

In polls of British consumers’ favorite brands, Walkers consistently comes out on top.
