Afghanistan reports 36 new COVID-19 cases, tally at 56,290


KABUL, March 26 (Xinhua) — Afghanistan reported 36 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, raising its national tally to 56,290, including 3,827 active cases, the country’s Ministry of Public Health said.

The ministry said the laboratories conducted 1,681 tests during the past 24 hours, and 36 tested positive in 12 provinces of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces.

Meanwhile, 57 people recovered and two patients died during the past 24 hours, according to the statement.

Laboratories across Afghanistan have completed 339,269 tests since the outbreak of the pandemic in February last year. Enditem
