Armed Forces Day is a chance for the nation to thank servicemen and women, past and present.
It’s a time for everyone to show support for the serving troops, families, veterans and cadets.
And there are many ways for people to come together and get involved.
Armed Forces Day Date:
Armed Forces Day 2019 takes place on Saturday, June 29.
The celebration always takes place on the last Saturday of June every year.
Celebrations will begin right at the start of the week, on Monday, June 24.
The famous Armed Forces Day National Event will take place between June 28 and June 30 2019.
On this day the Armed Forces Day flag will be raised on buildings and famous landmarks across the country.
Armed Forces Day locations:
The National Event 2019 will be held in Salisbury.
If you can’t get there, there will be plenty of local events taking place across the country.
The Armed Forces Day website has a handy locator tool to find your nearest one.
For example, London has plenty of events, such as the Armed Forces African Arts Alive showcase near Bethnal Green.
There is also The Armed Forces Day 13 London Bridges Walk which is a relaxing walking route of about 10 miles.
Members of the public can also add events to the locator tool.
Next year the Armed Forces Day National Event will take place is Scarborough.
Armed Forces Day National Event:
The Armed Forces Day National event will include a military village, main arena and business village.
There will be plenty of stuff to do for kids, including arts and crafts and charity stands.
There will be live performances, barbecues and fun for the whole family.
On the Saturday there will be the military parade in the city centre, and it is being shown on big screens at Hudson’s Field.
There will also be military demonstrations and an air show, followed by entertainment and fireworks.

Armed Forces Day tickets:
Tickets for the Armed Forces Day are free, but you still need to order them in advance.
They can be ordered from The Ticket Sellers website.
They have to be ordered in advance because the Hudson’s Field has limited capacity.
You can order up to six tickets for each of the three days.
