MOSCOW, March 30 (Xinhua) — Two people were killed in a household gas explosion that destroyed seven apartments in a nine-story residential building in the city of Zelenodolsk in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan on Monday night.

An 86-year-old man was found dead at the scene and an elderly woman died in the hospital after suffering serious injuries. Four remained hospitalized, local media reported, citing the regional health ministry.
