JAMES Corden would love to be slim but likes bread too much.
The host of America’s The Late Late Show hopes to get in shape within five years, before it is “too late”.
But his fitness plans are hit by his craving for bread, which James calls his “kryptonite”.
The 40-year-old said: “I think the lightest I have been is 212 pounds (just over 15st), something like that. Right now I’m like 234lb (16st 7lb).
“I am not tall enough to be 234lb. And then my biggest I think I was like 280 and I have been also, even this year, I’ve been 250 (more than 17st). Bread is the absolute destroyer of me and it’s everywhere. You can’t move for it. It’s everywhere. I’d do anything to (stop).”
The Carpool Karaoke star added that his “intention is to peak around 45”.
He added: “So most people get less good-looking, and I reckon if you’re really fat when you’re 20, you can defy the entire ageing process. So 45 to 55, people are like, ‘What?’
“I’d love to come back here in a year and you go, ‘Oh my God. What has happened?’ Imagine.”
