According to the royal insider Kate plans to take George and Charlotte to a festive Fairytale Grotto, which has been set up at the club ahead of Christmas.

They added: “School friends of Prince George and Princess Charlotte from Thomas’s Battersea have invited the royal duo to the club’s Fairytale Grotto in the Log Cabin.

“This is part of the outdoor Hurlingham Children’s Play area where Santa Claus has been spotted already.”

Alongside the Christmas grotto there are plenty of other things at the club for the royal tots to enjoy.

The source added: “Jungle Tumble is on offer daily and Louis has used the soft play area.

“Norland nannies tend to congregate with their charges as these activities must be supervised by an adult.”

The £1,280 a year private members’ club bordering the Thames has a new soft play area for children which is said to be a hit with Kate’s brood.

Kate also makes the most of its child-friendly facilities which are a short distance from the Cambridges’ Kensington Palace home.

However, it is not just the children who make the most of the exclusive facilities, Kate is said to enjoy a spot of tennis there too.

The Duchess was spotted at the Hurlingham a lot during the summer according to insiders.

The club can guarantee total privacy to the Cambridges, as it is attended by discreet members used to see A-listers walking around them.

Moreover, the club’s membership is only granted to a certain amount of people every year, according to the club’s website.
