Myanmar reports 22 new COVID-19 cases, 2 more deaths


YANGON, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) — Myanmar reported 22 new COVID-19 cases and two more deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Sports on Tuesday.

The number of COVID-19 rose to 141,659 on Tuesday while its death toll reached 3,192, the ministry’s release said.

A total of 130,859 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far.

Over 2.47 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 as of Tuesday since it was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 last year. Enditem
