Namibia’s netball team lose again to South Africa

WINDHOEK, March 28 (Xinhua) — Namibia’s senior netball team, nicknamed the Desert Jewels, have lost for a third consecutive match at the ongoing 2021 Spar Netball Challenge taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, after they lost 66-31 to host South Africa Saturday.

This is Namibia’s third defeat after suffering defeat to host on March 25, before they also lost to Uganda on March 26 and Saturday once again to the same South African side.

Coach Julene Meyer said, “You can see that we played better and we are improving. We did not play lots of rugby in months. We just have to keep on doing what we can.”

The 2021 Spar Netball Challenge started on March 25 and will end on March 31. Enditem
