Oman reports 288 new COVID-19 cases, 138,494 in total

MUSCAT, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) — The Omani health ministry on Thursday announced 288 new COVID-19 infections, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the sultanate to 138,494, the official Oman News Agency reported.

Meanwhile, 332 people recovered during the past 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 130,084, while no new deaths were reported, keeping the tally at 1,549, according to a ministry statement.

Last week, Oman continued land border closure “until further notice” in a bid to curb the spread of the pandemic. Enditem
