Terrifying footage has emerged that shows a furious gunman firing a shot at a motorist after he mistakenly ventured onto his driveway.

In the jaw-dropping clip the driver is seen speeding off as he flees for his life as the gunman opens fire and a bullet hits his vehicle.

Charles Landers, 50, claims he was simply cruising on a public road looking for places to go fishing when gunman Michael Truelock, 50, stopped his vehicle and shouts at him: “You’re gonna end up f**kin’ dead.”

In the video Charles can be heard trying to calm him down saying: “I didn’t know this was your house.”

Truelock replied: “Yeah, you f**kin’ did too.”

He then appears to point his gun through the window at Charles and says: “You’re gonna end up f**kn’ dead. That’s what’s fixin’ to happen to you.”

Charles desperately tried to drive away as Truelock moved his gun further into the car window and said: “You don’t think I won’t put it in your f**kin’ head. You ain’t driving nowhere you’re in my f**kin’ driveway motherf**ker.”

He then sped off, leading to Truelock firing a bullet at the back of his car.

Charles claims he was so terrified while trying to escape that he crashed into a ditch during the incident in Fannin County, Texas.

He added: “I thought he was going to get in his car and chase me. I was doing 70-80 down this gravel road and I fishtailed and hit a ditch and totalled my car.

“I then crawled across the other side of the road because I thought he was going to kill me.”

Truelock was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and made bond the following day. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 13.

Under Texas law he could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 USD.

Truelock’s attorney, Scott Smith, of Smith Smith Law, declined to comment, except to say that Charles Landers’ version of events was “incorrect”.

Lt. Frank Deater, of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that the incident had occurred and stated that it was now in the hands of the District Attorney.
