A music teacher will have her record expunged after obtaining a memento from a closing school.

Jessica Stork, 44, of Harveys Lake, a now-retired Wilkes-Barre Area School District teacher, was accused of stealing a stained-glass window from the now-defunct Elmer L Meyers JuniorSenior High School for (dollar)4,500.

In September, she was charged with felony theft for stealing the window.

According to the Citizens Voice, she was accepted into a probationary program on Thursday that directs first-time offenders into treatment and rehabilitation and allows their cases to be expunged upon completion:

Stork will participate in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for 24 months.

According to the newspaper, Luzerne County Judge Joseph F Sklarosky Jr. also ordered Stork to complete 30 hours of community service and pay court costs related to her prosecution.
