ANTON DU BEKE announced his new career move not long after it was revealed he had made the Strictly Come Dancing final with Emma Barton.
Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke managed to avoid the dreaded dance-off at the weekend with celebrity partner Emma Barton meaning they will compete in the Grand Final on Saturday night. However, it wasn’t just the Strictly result Anton was celebrating but also his latest career move.
Anton is a favourite on the BBC dancing series but fans will get to see more of him in future after he landed a segment on This Morning.
The father-of-two will be presenting Anton’s Christmas Angels, which will see him surprise three viewers.
Speaking on the move, Anton said he was “delighted” to join the ITV show for the special segment.
“I was delighted to be asked to spent time celebrating Christmas on This Morning,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“What better was then to surprise some of the show’s most deserving viewers with the very best Christmas presenters.”
This Morning editor Martin Frizell added: “With Anton’s help we have some fantastic once-in-a-lifetime festive experiences.”
Anton appeared on This Morning via video link with Emma to chat about their Strictly journey before the first instalment of Anton’s Christmas Angels was broadcast.
This isn’t the first time the 53-year-old has hosted a segment on the show as he’s also been seen baking for the ITV series.
While he’s back in the training room today, last night viewers saw Anton in disbelief he’d made it to the final.
After managing to avoid the dance-off, he couldn’t stop gushing over EastEnders star Emma.
He told host Claudia Winkleman: “I’ll tell you this, you do something like this for a long time and you every second of it and think this can’t get any better really.
“And then someone like Emma comes along and it just goes that… there you go it is better than you thought.
“It’s a brilliant thing and it’s all because of Emma.”
Emma and Anton placed third on the leaderboard on Saturday night and scoring a combined 67 points for their Cha Cha Cha and Waltz.
However, it was Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden who faced Chris Ramsey and Karen Hauer in the dance-off.
Chris was ultimately sent home meaning Emma and Anton face Karim and Kelvin Fletcher in the final.
Going into the final, Kelvin is the favourite to lift the Glitterball Trophy with his professional dance partner Oti Mabuse.
His odds of winning have been cut to just 2/7 by Ladbrokes.
Alex Apati said: “Kelvin has headed the betting for pretty much the entire series and it doesn’t look like anyone will stop him from winning this year’s Strictly.”
