Brooklyn teenager is shot in the head and killed while livestreaming himself rapping on Facebook

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed while rapping on Facebook Live inside a car parked on a Brooklyn street.

At around 6.45pm on Tuesday, police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at Elton Street and New Lots Avenue in the East New York section of Brooklyn.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Jeremiah Dickey with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

In Dickey’s livestreamed video, which has since been removed from Facebook, the teen reportedly could be seen singing along to his favorite song, ’30,’ by rapper Bizzy Banks.

About 35 seconds into the recording, Dickey looks around, at which point five gunshots ring out.

The fatally struck teen drops his phone and the screen goes black.

As of Friday morning, no arrests have been made in connection to his shooting, leaving his family members searching for answers.

‘He was a good person. I don’t know what happened,’ his sister Melissa Dickey said to New York Daily News.

Jeremiah and Melissa’s mother, Debra Dickey, told CNN her son loved helping others.

The woman was said to have recently suffered a stroke, and Jeremiah had moved from Brooklyn to The Bronx to help her and his seven siblings, reported New York Post.

Neighbors remembered Dickey as a quiet young man who never caused trouble.

Police did say that Dickey had a criminal record that included an arrest on January 8, 2017, on charges of robbery and resisting arrest, according to News 12 Brooklyn.

NYPD is searching for Dickey’s killer. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s, was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue coat with a fur hood.
