Inner Mongolia will host a winter Naadam in December.
HOHHOT, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) — A regional winter Naadam featuring sports and tourism activities will be held from December 23 to 26 this year in a pastoral area of Hulunbuir City, north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local sports officials said on Friday.
A series of ethnic Mongolian sports activities, including horse lassoing on snow, horse training, camel racing and Mongolian chess will be held during the Naadam festival.
During the festival, the local government will take measures for epidemic prevention and control.
Inner Mongolia has organized 17 regional winter Naadam festivals, which have become the name card of the region’s sports and tourism activities. ■
