DALIAN, China, July 25 (Xinhua) — Chinese Super League (CSL) teams have remained calm and focused on the upcoming season even though new COVID-19 cases were found in Dalian, the city that will host half of the fixtures, a senior Chinese football official said on Saturday.
All the players and coaching staff of the eight teams based in Dalian have received the second test for the coronavirus after they arrived in the coastal city. All the results of the tests were negative, said Gao Hongbo, vice president of the Chinese Football Association.
“So far, all the teams are preparing for the kick-off of the league in earnest. They are content with everything here,” Gao said.
