Cold front sweeps north China


BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) — A cold front will hit north China from Sunday to Tuesday, bringing strong gales and low temperatures, according to the National Meteorological Center (NMC).

Much of the country’s northern regions will see temperature drops of between 4 degrees Celsius to 8 degrees Celsius, the NMC said.

Some locations will experience drops of up to 14 degrees Celsius, accompanied by winds of up to level 8.

Meanwhile, heavy snow or snowstorms will hit some regions in the provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning.
