FOOTAGE shows the moment a huge tree crashed down onto an intersection today – narrowly missing pedestrians and cars.
The tree was brought down by strong winds in Ealing, West London.
Video of the tree falling down was captured on a car’s dashcam and shared by Liberal Democrat councillor Jon Ball on Twitter.
The tree swayed in the wind as people walked on the footpath below before it came crashing down.
Two pedestrians almost strolled right into its path – spotting it in just enough time to make a hasty retreat out of harm’s way.
A loud thud was heard as the tree fell onto the road, sending dirt flying onto the footpath.
Two people in the car filming the tree expressed their shock as it fell.
“Oh, s***! F****** h***… call 999,” they said.
Luckily there were no cars on the section of the road underneath the tree.
Viewers shared their thoughts on the video of the tree after it was shared on social media.
“Is that now classified as a trunk road?” one joker said.
“Even trees have had enough of 2020!” another posted.
There were strong winds in London on Sunday, with gusts exceeding 40mph, according to the Met Office.
