Forget Pokemon Sword and Shield on Switch, this is the BEST Pokemon release of the year

NINTENDO Switch owners can well and truly play Pokemon Sword and Shield in style thanks to this new release.

Pokemon fans have treated to a surprise new release in the UK and US.

Just a few weeks removed from the release of Sword and Shield on Nintendo Switch, fans can show their love by ordering a stylish new Pokemon shirt.

Original Stitch’s range of custom made Pokemon shirts made their debut in Japan earlier this year.

And now after months of fan requests, customers in the UK, US, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Canada can order their very own Pokemon shirts.

“Pokemon Shirts is a service where you can design your own customised shirt using patterns of 151 Pokemon in the combination of your choice,” reads an online post.

“The service was born from a collaboration between Pokemon and Original Stitch, an online brand of custom shirts.”

To order a custom shirt, fans simply pick out a style, choose their favourite Pokemon patterns and mix with plain fabrics.

The Pocket Monsters available are based on the original 151 from the genesis of Pokemon.

“Pick out a shirt style from our three choices, then mix and match Pokemon patterns and plain fabrics to your liking to create your original Pokemon Shirts,” the post continues.

“Each shirt is customisable down to the shape of the collar and the color of the buttons to enable you to make the perfect shirt for any occasion: a business meeting, a casual day off, or even a vacation at a resort.”

Unfortunately, however, it’s no good as a last minute Christmas present, because deliveries take between 3-4 weeks to arrive.

“Delivery will take approximately 3~4 weeks from the date of purchase,” the company warns.

“Since we make one-of-a-kind shirts for every valuable customer who placed an order with their personalised design, please note that it requires time to complete every order. Also, if placed an order immediately after the day of launch, it may take up to 2 months due to concentrated order.”

The news comes after fans discovered a patent for a new Poke Ball accessory for Nintendo Switch.

The patent reads (via Nintendo Life): “The patents aim to properly arrange components in a spherical controller, to enable various operations using a game controller, to properly arrange components in a spherical controller, to improve the degree of freedom for a structure for light emission in a game controller, and to provide a game controller in which components are properly arranged in a substantially spherical game controller.”

Without full Poke Ball Plus functionality in Sword and Shield, the patent could be a sign that Game Freak will add support for the accessory in a future update.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy snowy weather in the game’s wild area, as well as an increase in Ice-type Pocket Monsters.

Players can also battle against Gigantamax Snorlax in Max Raid battles from now until early January.
