GHISLAINE Maxwell would bring schoolgirls in uniform and wearing braces for Jeffrey Epstein to abuse, the first accuser to report the couple to the FBI has claimed.
Maria Farmer explained just how strikingly young the girls allegedly recruited by Maxwell for Epstein would be during an interview with Australian TV show 60 Minutes.
Ms Farmer was speaking as the British socialite has been held for her alleged links to the sex trafficking scheme – with her often being described as the “pimp” who would help procure girls for Epstein.
The abuse survivor first met Maxwell and Epstein in the 90s while living in New York, and was originally recruited as an art buyer before being abused by the millionaire paedo.
At the time Epstein claimed Maxwell was helping to scout models for Victoria’s Secret and other agencies, but it is alleged she was actually procuring girls for the financier’s sex trafficking network.
Ms Farmer describes Maxwell approaching schoolgirls who would later show up at Epstein’s house – sometimes wearing uniform, and still with braces on their teeth.
She describes being struck by how young the girls would be, but originally dismissed it as she thought it was just the way the modelling world worked.
Speaking on 60 Minutes, Ms Farmer claimed at the time schools would begin heading home for the day – Maxwell would exclaim “I’ve gotta get the nubiles”.
She said she would quiz Maxwell on why the girls were so young, and she would simply brush it off saying “these girls model, they start young”.
Ms Farmer said: “I saw a couple of girls in braces, and I have never seen a model with braces, and all of them were completely flat chested.
“Sometimes they would be wearing a uniform as they were marched upstairs.
“One day a girl came down crying, and I asked Ghislaine why she was crying, and she said ‘she didn’t get the job, she needs to toughen up’.”
Ms Farmer claims she witnessed Ghislaine asking her driver to stop the car, before dashing to speak to young girls outside schools and at parks – giving them her phone number.
After originally being approached for her art, at the time Ms Farmer was working on the door of Epstein’s notorious townhouse in New York.
Describing the situation as “very odd”, Ms Farmer claims she was terrorised by Maxwell personally for almost two decades years after escaping Epstein.
She claims as recently as 2015 she was receiving phonecalls from the so-called “madam”, who would threaten her life and leave her living in fear despite reporting the allegations to the FBI.
Ms Farmer and her sister Annie both claim they were assaulted by Epstein in 1996.
She reported the allegation to the FBI, but it wasn’t until 2006 that Epstein was arrested after a string of accusers emerged in Florida.
Ms Farmer said: “[Ghislaine] was one of those people who could talk to anyone and make them laugh, but she was also very silly and immature.”
She added: “But because she was so charming, well dressed and well spoken she could get away with saying weird things.
“She liked to disarm people, make them feel a little unsteady, and Jeffrey was the same way.”
Ms Farmer explained there was a “sinister” side to Maxwell who would change moods almost instantaneously – going from happy and bubbly to completely serious.
Maxwell, 58, is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in New York ahead of a court hearing on child sex abuse charges.
She was arrested last week after being found at a mansion in New Hampshire which had been purchased in cash just a few months before.
The socialite is being held ahead of a high-profile arraignment hearing penciled in for Friday.
Her every move is being watched following the apparent suicide of her ex-lover Epstein as he awaited trial last August.
Maxwell will remain locked up at the MDC until a hearing when a judge will rule if she’ll stay behind bars until her trial or be given bail.
However, she has been described as a flight risk and authorities found three passports when she was arrested last week.
Maxwell was the daughter of media mogul Robert Maxwell and met Epstein in the early 90s after moving to New York
She has been indicted on multiple charges, including that she conspired to entice girls as young as 14 to engage in illegal sex acts with Epstein at Epstein’s residences in New York City, Florida, and New Mexico.
Prosecutors say the charges carry a potential penalty of up to 35 years in prison.
New York Attorney Audrey Strauss said it was possible Maxwell could co-operate despite facing charges of lying about “unspeakable” child sex crimes.
A former friend of Maxwell’s said the disgraced socialite had sex tapes of Epstein and others “squirrelled away”.
“Ghislaine has always been as cunning as they come. She wasn’t going to be with Epstein all those years and not have some insurance,” the friend told the Daily Mail.
“The secret stash of sex tapes I believe Ghislaine has squirrelled away could end up being her get out of jail card if the authorities are willing to trade. She has copies of everything Epstein had. They could implicate some twisted movers and shakers.
“If Ghislaine goes down, she’s going to take the whole damn lot of them with her.”
