Girl, 17, airlifted to hospital after falling at least 30ft in to cave on Irish island

A TEENAGE girl has been airlifted to hospital after falling almost 30 feet into a cave in Cork.

The 17-year-old was with her family at East Skeem Island when she fell just after 5pm this evening.

She was airlifted to Cork Airport before being transferred to Cork University Hospital.

The girl is said to be “deeply shocked”, but has not suffered any broken bones , RTE News reports.

Coastguard staff said the teen has had a miraculous escape.
