PUB chain Ei Group is giving away thousands of free pints every week in 1,275 of its boozers throughout October.
The giveaway is part of the Group’s new “here’s to the pub” initiative which aims to get Brits back into their local.
If you’re not a beer drinker, you can also claim a range of gin, wine, cider and soft drinks – see the box below for the full list.
You’ll need to make sure you redeem your freebie before 10pm though, due to a new curfew placed on pubs and restaurants.
To get your drink, visit this specially set up page on the Great British Pubs website and register your details.
You’ll be asked for your date of birth, to ensure you’re over 18, as well as your name and email address.
Next, enter your postcode or location to find a participating pub near you – once you’ve found a boozer, don’t continue to the next step until you’re at that pub.
Once you’ve arrived at your local, select your location on the website.
You’ll then be asked to choose your drink – the website will instruct you to make sure you wait until a server is with you before clicking “continue” to make sure your beverage is still available.
Once your server gives you to go-ahead, click “redeem” and you’ll be served your free drink.
Ei Pubs – which used to be called Enterprise Inns until it was acquired by Stonegate Pubs in March 2020 – says the free drinks are available in 1,275 of its boozers. The pub group has around 3,200 branches in the UK.
On the Great British Pubs website, it says you can claim one free drink, Thursday to Wednesday each week until October 29.
Ei Pubs says its system will register your email address, so it’ll know when you’ve already claimed a free drink that week.
Once you’ve claimed one freebie, you won’t be able to redeem another until the following week.
Throughout the month, each pub will give away 100 free drinks – although Ei Pubs says it may increase this amount depending on demand,
It does, however, mean that you may miss out on the freebie if your local has already reached this amount so it’s best to go sooner rather than later.
Another thing to be aware of, is not all drinks will be available in each of the participating boozers – so be sure to check what you can claim.
You’ll be presented with your choice of options on the Great British Pubs website after you’ve chosen your pub.
As always, drink responsibly and be Drink Aware.
The giveaway comes after Young’s gave away free drinks at its pubs.
In more pub news, Wetherspoon is cutting prices by 7.5% for one day only next week.
Meanwhile, research has shown that Brits spend an average of £9.70 on a bottle of wine.
