JOHNNY Depp pushed Amber Heard’s sister before ripping out the actress’ hair and trashing his LA penthouse, the High Court heard.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star allegedly screamed “you b*****s” and “you c****” to Heard and her sister Whitney during the March 2015 attack.
He is then accused of shoving Whitney, who has been supporting her sister in court, out of the way so he could hit Heard, which Depp denies.
The actor, 57, is said to have flown into a rage when Heard discovered he was having an affair.
Depp is suing The Sun for calling him a “wife beater” in a 2018 article. The paper and Ms Heard say the term was justified.
Sasha Wass QC, representing The Sun at the high profile trial, said: “You pushed Whitney out of the way in order to hit Ms Heard and you struck Whitney in the arm.
“Ms Heard shouted don’t hit my sister and Ms Heard then hit you.”
Depp denied shoving and hitting Whitney and said he did “nothing violent” – but added he “possibly tried to protect myself if that’s considered violent”.
The latest bombshell claims heard in court:
The row erupted when Heard screamed “f**k you” at Depp after leaning he was having an affair with an ex-girlfriend, it was said.
“All hell” then broke loose as security guard Travis McGivern and Depp’s private nurse Debbie Lloyd were called to restrain the pair.
The court was told Depp had “grabbed Amber Heard by the hair and then you hit her in the head”.
He allegedly started smashing up the penthouse in LA after Whitney took her sister away.
The trashed home was on a different occasion to pictures shown to the court of the smashed-up penthouse after another row.
Yesterday, the court heard how Depp text Heard’s dad an apology for “going too far” after an incident where she was headbutted.
The actor admitted their heads clashed but insisted it was an accident.
Photos produced in court showed her with black eyes and a bloodied lip after the December 2015 bust-up at their LA penthouse.
Depp has been accused of turning his “rage and frustration” on Heard, 34, when he “failed to control” his drug and alcohol abuse.
He “descended into physically destructive behaviour” – causing him to refer to his “drunken and violent persona as ‘the monster'”, it was said.
But in a series of explosive revelations Depp has made so far during evidence, the star branded Heard’s abuse allegations “complete lies”.
And he called his ex-wife “calculating, sociopathic and emotionally dishonest” as he lifted the lid on their tumultuous relationship.
Depp told the court Heard severed his finger during a trip to Australia in 2015 by throwing a vodka bottle at him and accused her of repeatedly punching him in the face.
Depp has brought separate libel proceedings against Heard in the US.
The couple married in LA in 2015 after meeting on the set of comedy The Rum Diary.
But they divorced two years later after Heard, who donated her £5.5million settlement to charity, accused Depp of abuse.
The case continues.
