Kanye West, Kim Kardashian Divorce Rumors: Couple Feel ‘Marriage Is Over,’ Source Says

Kanye West and wife Kim Kardashian’s marriage was apparently already on the rocks before the rapper made explosive revelations about their relationship and revealed their private family matters, a report from a publication said.

On Tuesday night, West said in a now-deleted series of tweets that he had been considering separating from Kardashian since November 2018 after the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star reportedly met with rapper Meek Mill during a criminal justice reform summit. Now, multiple sources have told People that the two were nearing the end of their marriage.

A source said that the “divorce had been in the process for several weeks.”

“There has been enough communication, both in the past few days and in the weeks prior, to establish that both sides feel the marriage is over,” another insider told the magazine.

According to the source, West and Kardashian had even begun discussing the custody situation of their children in the event of a divorce. However, West’s recent actions apparently showed that he has “gone down a different path.”

“They have work to do, as parents and as a spouses [sic]who want to end this phase of their relationship,” the insider added. “Kanye knows all of this, and everything that is happening right now is just like a horrible sideshow to what the real issues are.”

At the moment, Kardashian is reportedly focused on protecting her children — daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 2, and sons Saint, 4, and Psalm, 14 months — and the image and reputation she has built.

“She is not going to standby and act like what Kanye is saying and doing doesn’t matter or doesn’t have a lasting impact,” the source continued. “They are done. And it’s time for some real work to be done to get everyone healthy and moving forward with their lives.”

Concerns have been raised regarding West’s erratic behavior ever since he announced his 2020 presidential bid earlier this month.

On Sunday, West held his first campaign rally since announcing his presidential run. During his speech at the North Charleston, South Carolina rally, the rapper, 43, started to cry while speaking about his mother and abortion.

The next day, West went on a Twitter rant, claiming that his wife had attempted to “lock” him up. He also said that his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, was “not allowed around” his four children.

Kardashian took offense to West’s claims, especially his accusations regarding her mother, a source told People.

“She was most upset that [Kanye] said that Kris isn’t allowed around the kids,” the source said. “Nothing could be further from the truth. Kris is an important part of the kids’ lives and Kim loves the bond they have. She’s 100% allowed around the kids.”
