Kyrgyzstan reports 877 new COVID-19 cases


BISHKEK, July 25 (Xinhua) — Kyrgyzstan on Saturday reported 877 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the tally of infections in the country to 32,124.

Of the total number of infected, 2,633 are medical workers, head of the public health care department of the country’s health ministry Ainura Akmatova said at a daily news briefing.

She said that 1,655 COVID-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 19,203.

Akmatova also reported the registration of 38 new deaths in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 1,249.

Currently, 12,072 patients are receiving treatment in the country.

Kyrgyzstan has been fighting COVID-19 since March 18. Enditem
