A MAN in his 20s has been shot dead in North London.
The victim was gunned down in Edmonton around 9pm on Wednesday night.
He died at the scene despite paramedics and cops battling for an hour to save his life.
An air ambulance had also been scrambled to the scene.
Footage and photos shows police swarming the area after the shooting on Beaconsfield Road.
A police spokesman said: “Officers attended and found a man – believed to be in his mid-20s – in the street suffering from a gunshot injury. They immediately provided first aid.
“The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended but despite the efforts of officers and paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 22.00hrs
“A crime scene has been put in place. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.”
