Meghan Markle’s lavish life: Inside Meghan and Harry’s £10m mansion in Canada

MEGHAN, THE DUCHESS OF SUSSEX and Prince Harry have left the UK for the festive season, and are currently enjoying the final days of their sabbatical in Canada. The couple has allegedly made their home on Vancouver Island in a lavish £10 million mansion.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have spent the last few weeks across the Atlantic, where they have enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas in the US and Canada. Locals spotted the couple on Vancouver Island on Canada’s west coast, where it seems they have made their home in a luxurious mansion.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have spent the festive season abroad this year, travelling across the Atlantic during their sabbatical from royal duties.

Buckingham Palace confirmed they were enjoying the “warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape” with their son, seven-month-old Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

However, the Palace would not confirm exactly where the couple is staying this year.

In a statement, the palace said: “As has been reported, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada.”

“While this email confirms the country they are taking their family time in, for security reasons we will not be releasing any further details and request that their privacy is respected.

“The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family.

“They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”

The couple has since been spotted jogging and relaxing on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.

It is believed the couple are staying at a swanky property owned by a “mystery” multi-millionaire.

The mansion boasts five bedrooms, two beaches, and eight bathrooms, and was listed for £10.1 million ($14.1 million) on Sotheby’s website in 2012.

In total, the property covers 11,416 square feet and comes with a three-bed 2,349-foot guest cottage.

Sotheby’s added the property also comes with a media room, wine-tasting room and two-story living area.

An estate agent involved in selling the house added to the publication it was sold “a few years ago” to a US-based billionaire.

Neighbours noted the property currently looks “cut off”, saying: “It’s very different looking.

“It looks very cut off right now, it’s not usually like that.

“I knew they were here on Wednesday, and by Friday everybody around here knew.”

When will Meghan and Harry return to the UK?

There is currently no word as to when the Duke and Duchess will return to their royal duties.

The couple revealed in an ITV documentary earlier this year they had struggled with their jobs, with Meghan Markle saying she was “existing, not living”.

Writing in the Sunday Times, journalist Tom Bradby added Prince Harry seemed “tired and burnt out”.

A source close to the couple said they would take six-weeks off from mid-November, meaning they will likely return to the UK in the new year, but Buckingham Palace has not confirmed this.
