Moment 14-year-old girl hit a female police officer in the face and kick her in the leg


A 14-year-old girl has been charged for allegedly punching a female police officer in the face and kicking her in the leg.

The incident took place outside the Westfield shopping centre, in Hornsby, Sydney, on Tuesday about 4.30pm.

Police said the senior constable, who was accompanied by a male officer, was allegedly attacked after the officers asked a group of teenagers, including the accused, to move on.  

Police said the schoolgirl allegedly attacked the 40-year-old police officer without any provocation.

The male officer immediately tackled the attacking girl to the ground. 

‘The girl was arrested and taken to Hornsby Police Station and charged with assault officer in execution of duty, and resist officer in execution of duty,’ police said. 

She has been granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on July 23. 2019. 

The female officer was treated for injuries to her face and arm.

The incident has been captured on camera.
