A MUM of four who knits 3in angel mascots for NHS workers has scooped £1million on a Lottery scratchcard.
Debbie Goolding, 46, bought her £5 ticket with heating engineer husband Joseph, 38, on Saturday.
They had planned to get only a card at their local shop but Joseph wanted to drive his new car to a Tesco on the other side of Aldershot, Hants.
Debbie said: “It must be fate. If he hadn’t convinced me we wouldn’t be celebrating now.
“When Camelot confirmed we had won, we let out whoops of joy, the whole street must have heard us.”
Debbie aims to swap her Citroen for a Range Rover for mascot deliveries, and take her two daughters to New York.
She added: “It sounds corny but I genuinely already felt rich, we have the most amazing family, a beautiful home and we thoroughly enjoy our life.
“The best way I can describe the win is it’s like a blanket we are now wrapped up in, it’s given us financial security, not just for us but for our kids too which in turn gives us so much inner peace and warmth.
“That said, of course we have some plans for the money. The Angel Run will get an upgrade.”
