NBA Rumors: Golden State Warriors May Benefit From Phoenix Suns Fan-Favorite

The Golden State Warriors are looking to improve their lineup after a disappointing NBA season. Despite all of their struggles this year, the franchise is still in a position to recover. Ther are a lot of possible talents that the squad can benefit from including Phoenix Suns’ fan-favorite Aron Baynes.

The big man Baynes has been one of the more reliable players for the Suns especially when the former number one overall pick Deandre Ayton was slapped with a 25 game suspension. The undrafted center stepped up and provided big minutes for the Suns during the difficult stretch.

This season, Baynes has been averaging 11.5 points per game while shooting 48% from the field. With his brute strength, he has served as a reliable force for the Suns in terms of an inside presence. In addition to this, he has also evolved his offensive arsenal as he’s developed a shooting stroke from beyond the arc. This season, the Australian powerhouse is averaging 35.1% from three-point land, making 1.4 an outing.

With all of the resources that the Warriors have, they can further deepen their roster by including someone like Baynes from the free agency market. Per Blue Man Hoop, the Warriors can team up Baynes with the likes of Marquese Chriss and Kevon Looney.

It has been a difficult year for Golden State care of the series of injuries and roster changes the franchise went through. The 2019-2020 season stars a different look for the Warriors with how their veterans were replaced with rookies and younger players. Adding a presence like Baynes who knows how to make big plays and shoot from the outside when needed can be a big boost to the shaken squad.

The six-foot-ten force is a strong fit for the team as he can step up as a reliable frontcourt presence for the high-octane pace of the Warriors.

While plans are not final yet for the Bay Area team, it would be interesting to see how Golden State will strategize for the upcoming seasons. It will be important to have professionals like Baynes that could support the team’s stars while the organization rebuilds its way back to success.
