Palestine reports 1,000 new COVID-19 cases, 37,214 in total


RAMALLAH, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — Palestine on Thursday reported 1,000 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections in the Palestinian territories to 37,214.

In addition, seven more fatalities were added, raising the death toll to 224, while 25,483 in total have recovered from the infectious disease since the outbreak six months ago, said Health Minister Mai al-Kaila in a press statement sent to Xinhua.

The seven deaths were five in the West Bank, one in East Jerusalem and one in the blockaded Gaza Strip, according to al-Kaila.

Palestine currently has 11,507 active coronavirus cases. Enditem
