Premier League fixtures: what time the 2019-20 match list is released today, start date and TV schedule

Everything you need to know ahead of the new season

While the Champions League final signalled the end of the club football season in 2018-19, there is still Uefa Nations League to whet your appetite. At least until the 2019-20 Premier League season rolls around.

Manchester City triumphed in the most recent Premier League campaign, with Pep Guardiola‘s side also winning the League Cup, the FA Cup and the Community Shield, winning a domestic treble (four if you count the big dish).

Meanwhile, Liverpool lifted the European Cup after a win in Madrid over Tottenham.

If you cannot find it within you to handle a summer of transfer sagas and cannot wait for the season to start, already, we have all the information you need.

When does the Premier League start?

The new season will begin on 10 August 2019.

When are the Premier League fixtures released?

The 2019-20 campaign fixtures will be announced at 9am BST on Thursday 13 June.

The details of all 380 games will be published on at that time.

Which broadcasters have live Premier League games?

Sky, BT and Amazon Prime have all won packages in the bid process. This time around 200 games across seven packages were up for grabs in different time slots, for contracts which run until 2022.

Here is how they break down:

Who are the favourites for the Premier League title?

Champions Manchester City are the bookmakers’ current favourites for the 2019-20 title, at 8-11, while runners up Liverpool are second at 5-2, somewhat unsurprisingly.

Given the strength of both clubs’ points tallies in the 2018-19 campaign, 98 and 97 points respectively, it is not remarkable that the two are by far the favourites for next season’s title.

However, there is still capacity for the trailing sides such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, to strengthen. The summer transfer deadline closes at 5pm on Thursday 8 August 2019, leaving the clubs ample time to get an accomplished squad together and mount a title challenge.
