PRINCE GEORGE, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis may not yet be old enough to have Instagram accounts of their own but the royal trio have dominated their parents’ top posts this year.
Although William and Kate never fails to impress fans on engagements at home and abroad, it seems royal watchers are more interested in what their children are up to most of the time. Eight of their nine most “liked” posts of 2019 feature their kids, while the remaining one shows the Cambridges attending baby Archie’s christening alongside Prince Harry and Meghan. Six-year-old George appeared in five snaps, as did four-year-old Charlotte, while little Louis was seen in three.
The top nine pictures include three of George and Charlotte arriving at Thomas’s Battersea with their parents to start the school term in September.
The young royals were greeted by the headteacher on what was Charlotte’s first day at the private school and George’s first day of year two.
A picture of the pair posing on the steps of the west London school received the most likes, a total of 2.2 million.
Another popular snap shows William and Kate’s eldest child in hysterics as he lounges in the grass wearing and England shirt.
The photo of George taken by Kate, 37, was released to mark the prince’s sixth birthday in July.
This image was “liked” by 2.1 million Instagram users.
And the third most popular photo captured Charlotte shaking the hand of her headteacher, which garnered 1.5 million “likes”.
Louis, 20 months old, was captured playing in his mum’s wilderness garden at the Chelsea Flower Show with his siblings in one snap.
The toddler can be seen smiling for the camera in two other images which proved popular with royal followers.
The tot who turned one in April has proved to be a popular little character in his one-and-a-half years, sending fans into meltdown during his Buckingham Palace balcony debut at Trooping the Colour in June.
The prince warmed hearts his blue-and-white outfit as he waved enthusiastically to the crowds of well-wishers gathered below.
Another family-oriented favourite post shows William, 37, and his wife at Archie’s christening, alongside the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
William and Kate chose not to bring their three children along for the occasion.
Over the years the Duchess has taken a keen interest in photography and perfected her skills.
Official snaps released of her children to mark their birthdays were taken by the mum-of-three.
Last month reports suggested Kate and William would launch their own photography competition to encourage others to get behind the lens.
