Vucic informed Putin of the talks on Kosovo held in Washington last Friday and in Brussels on Monday, the Kremlin said in a statement.

“Putin reaffirmed the invariability of Russia’s principled position regarding the development of a compromise and a balanced solution acceptable for Belgrade, which must be approved by the UN Security Council,” it read.

The leaders also discussed the strategic partnership between Russia and Serbia, with Putin highly appreciating the personal contributions of Vucic to the development of bilateral ties.

Putin emphasized his readiness to continue to closely interact with Vucic on bilateral, regional and international issues, according to the statement. Enditem
