Qatar reports 206 new COVID-19 cases, 121,052 in total


DOHA, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — The Qatari Health Ministry on Thursday announced 206 new COVID-19 infections, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the Gulf state to 121,052, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

Meanwhile, 232 more recovered from the virus, bringing the total recoveries to 117,978, while the fatalities remained 205 as no new deaths were reported for the third consecutive day, according to a ministry statement quoted by QNA.

The ministry reiterated the need to take preventive measures, including staying home and observing social distancing.

A total of 676,170 persons in Qatar have taken lab tests for COVID-19 so far. Enditem
