A SCHOOLBOY has been charged with four counts of attempted murder after a suspected arson attack.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is 15 years old and will appear in court on Thursday.
The charges relate to a suspected arson on June 14.
A teenage girl reportedly suffered “very serious injuries” while two adults – one male and female, and a teenage boy were rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A fifth person was unhirt.
West Mercia Police said at the time it was believed to be an “isolated incident”.
A West Mercia Police statement read: “A 15-year-old-boy from Redditch has, this evening (Wednesday 8 July), been charged with four counts of attempted murder.
“He has been remanded into police custody and will appear at court tomorrow morning (Thursday 9 July) via video link.
“The charges relate to a suspected arson in Redditch on June 14, 2020.
“The teenager cannot be named for legal reasons.”
