SUZHOU, China, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — Tianjin Teda became the first team to book a spot in the Final B of the Chinese Super League this season after 10 rounds as they suffered the worst performance in the league history after a 2-0 defeat to Beijing Guoan here on Thursday.
The 16 teams were divided into two groups this season, with the top four teams in each group moving into Final A for the race of champion while the bottom four falling into Final B for the 9th to the 16th places.
Teda only collected one point in the starting night rounds before Thursday’s game, while Guoan had a shaky performance as the capital-based team only managed one victory in the recent five rounds.

Guoan extended the lead just three minutes after the break as Teda’s clearance went into the path of Renato Augusto who bent a curler into the top corner.
Teda’s Liu Ruofan had the ball into the net in the 62nd minute but it was wiped out as Liu had fouled in the build-up.
