WATCH: Michigan Woman Gets Blown Away After Setting Car On Fire

Talk about instant karma.

A Michigan woman was caught on tape last week allegedly setting fire to a Jeep, but little did she know her plan would literally blow up in her face.

In footage of the incident, which has since gone viral, an individual, identified by TMZ as 26-years-old Sydney Parham, is seen pouring liquid out of what looks like a gasoline tin into the backseat of an SUV. She then sets the tin down, lights a match, and drops it in through the window. Just as soon as she does, however, she’s thrown backward into a neighboring car as the vehicle bursts into flames.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze. As for why she set the vehicle on fire in the first place, that information is unknown. The Jeep’s owner, Avery Stephens, admitted to knowing the suspected arsonist but said he had no idea why she would torch his car.

The New York Times reports that authorities were able to identify Parham with the help of witnesses and she was arrested outside of her home. While in the county jail, she received treatment for minor cuts and burns.

Parham was arraigned on July 24 and charged with third-degree arson as a result of the act, which took place on the northeast side of Detroit. She has since been released on a $20,000 personal bond and is scheduled to show in court on Aug. 5.

“She’s presumed innocent unless proven guilty, like the court said,” Parham’s lawyer, Vassal Johnson II, said.
