The mystery winner of a whopping EuroMillions jackpot has come forward to claim their prize.
The lucky player who scooped Tuesday’s massive €49.5million (£45m) prize has made contact with the National Lottery.
The ticket holder, who is registered in Dublin, Ireland came forward this afternoon to claim the life-changing sum, the Irish Mirror reports.
A spokesperson for the Lotto said that the ticket holder had made contact and will now be carefully guided through the prize claims process before officially claiming their life-changing prize.
They have not yet revealed the identity of the winner.
A spokesman said: “We were absolutely delighted to hear from Ireland’s latest EuroMillions jackpot winner who now becomes the 16th EuroMillions jackpot winner in Ireland since the game was introduced in 2004.
“We are now making arrangements for the winner or winners to make their claim in the coming weeks.”
This is the second EuroMillions jackpot win in Ireland this year and is the 16th time the jackpot has been won in Ireland since the EuroMillions game began in 2004.
So far in 2020, the National Lottery has made 19 brand new millionaires through the Lotto, EuroMillions and Daily Million games.
It is the second really big win for a EuroMillions player in Ireland this year.
In February, a County Mayo family shared a €17m (£15.5m) jackpot between them with a ticket they purchased at Mulroy’s Londis Store in Castlebar.
And last February, The Naul Family Syndicate won €175.4 million (£160m) on a ticket sold in Reilly’s Daybreak in Naul, County Dublin.
