A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 69-year-old woman was found with stab wounds.
Police were called at around 2am this morning to the scene in Hereford, Herefordshire.
Ambulance services also attended but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 40-year-old woman has been arrested and remains in custody.
Detective Chief inspector Leighton Harding said: “Officers quickly made an arrest at the scene but enquiries are still ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone with more information regarding this incident.
“We would like to reassure the community that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the public.”
The news comes after two men were shot and another stabbed by masked thugs near a kids’ play area last night.
A police manhunt is underway after the violent attack in Birmingham shortly before 9pm.
