Working group sent to give guidance in gas tank truck blast probe in east China


The Ministry of Public Security has sent a working group to give guidance in investigations into a liquefied gas tank truck explosion that killed 10 people and injured 117 others Saturday.

The explosion that occurred around 4:40 p.m. near the village of Liangshan in the city of Wenling, caused the collapse of some nearby residential houses and factory workshops along the Shenyang-Haikou Expressway, according to the local sources.

40 people were seriously injured.

The ministry has urged local public security authorities to make an all-out effort to deal with the emergency and help with the rescue and treatment of the injured.
