‘Wound-up’ Johnny Depp ‘very agitated’ in CCTV after ‘hurling phone at Amber Heard’s face in final showdown’

JOHNNY Depp was filmed “agitated” in CCTV after his last alleged bust-up with Amber Heard, the High Court was told today.

Footage showed the 57-year-old rocking back and forth in the lift after he is claimed to have hurled a phone at Heard, 34.

The High Court previously heard Depp had gone to the LA penthouse “spoiling for a fight” in May 2016 when he overheard the Aquaman star talking on the phone with a pal about the poo left in their marital bed.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is then claimed to have hurled a phone at Heard.

The excrement had been left in the couple’s bed in April 2016 – with Depp saying it was a “fitting end” to the relationship.

Depp’s security guard Sean Bett today said the star, who was seen wearing a cowboy-style hat in the footage, had been “extremely agitated” after the alleged bust-up in May.

He said he had never seen Depp behave like that before, saying he was “moving back and forth in the lift”.

The High Court heard today:

Mr Bett told the court he had gone into the couple’s home after hearing the Aquaman actress shouting “at the top of her lungs”.

He said: “When we entered, we saw Mr Depp standing approximately 20 feet away from Ms Heard, who was standing by the couch.

“As soon as Ms Heard noticed that we had entered the room, she looked very surprised; her demeanour then changed and she pointed at Mr Depp and screamed to us words to the effect of: ‘If he hits me one more time, I am calling the police’.”

However he claimed he could not see any injuries on the actress.

Mr Bett instead told the court it was the actor who had been abused by Heard during the marriage, claiming he saw Depp injured after alleged incidents with his then wife.

The bodyguard said that Depp had told him Heard punched him after the star was late to his wife’s 30th birthday party in April 2016.

The trial had been expecting to hear evidence from Depp’s ex Vanessa Paradis today but due to the case over-running its schedule she may not be called.

Yesterday, the trial had expected to hear from another of the actor’s former partners, Winona Ryder, however it was again pushed back.

Both had previously provided witness statements saying that Depp had never been violent during their respective relationships.

Pirates of the Caribbean actor Depp has denied the claims of violence against Heard and is suing The Sun for referring to him as a “wife beater” in a 2018 article.

The Sun, supported by Heard, says the term was justified.

The couple married in LA in 2015 after meeting on the set of comedy The Rum Diary.

But they divorced two years later after Heard, who donated her £5.5million settlement to charity, accused Depp of abuse.

The case continues.
