QINGDAO, China, July 27 (Xinhua) — The Xinjiang Flying Tigers crushed the Jiangsu Dragons 110-70 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Monday, taking their third straight victory.
Xinjiang heated up quickly to grab a 59-29 lead in the first half, as center Zhou Qi and Xiralijan Muhtar combined for 25 points.
Jiangsu only shot 27.5 percent in field goals in the first two periods.
The Flying Tigers continued their favorable form to enlarge the margin to 39 points in the third quarter with Zhou adding 10 points more.
Zhou was rested in the last quarter, but Xinjiang maintained their lead until the end.
Zhou finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds, Xiralijan got 17 points, and Fan Ziming collected 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Liu Yuxuan had a team-high 20 points for Jiangsu. Zhao Shuaizhou notched 12 points.
After finishing their last game of the 2019/20 CBA regular season, Xinjiang ranks second in the standings while Jiangsu has been ruled out of the playoffs at 15th place. Enditem
