According to reports, the Raiders have signed a new wide receiver.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made headlines a few days ago when they released a veteran wide receiver.

Urban Meyer and the rest of the coaching staff decided it was time to let wide receiver Tyron Johnson go.

The wide receiver, who was 25 years old at the time, was in his first season with the team.

He didn’t have to wait long to find a new team after failing to find a spot with the AFC South franchise.

Johnson is expected to travel to Las Vegas, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

“The Raiders have signed former Jaguars and Chargers wide receiver Tyron Johnson to their practice squad with the possibility of being called up soon,” Rapoport reported.

The Los Angeles Chargers were where the former Oklahoma State wide receiver spent his first season in the NFL.

In 2020, he hauled in 20 passes for 398 yards and three touchdowns.

After being released by the Chargers prior to the start of the 2021 season, he had two catches for 16 yards with the Jaguars this season.

He’ll now travel to Las Vegas to join the wide receiver corps.

He and DeSean Jackson, who was recently signed, might have to fight for playing time.
