Alabama Football’s Keyshawn Johnson Has A Direct Message For The Crimson Tide.

Alabama fans are tired of Jalen Hurts’ success, according to Keyshawn Johnson.

On Wednesday, the ESPN radio host claimed that Oklahoma, not Alabama, is to blame for Hurts’ success in the NFL.

“Jalen Hurts went to Oklahoma, you can’t claim that,” Johnson said.

“The majority of his success in his last year came from Oklahoma,” Keyshawn continued.

“He was drafted based on Oklahoma’s performance, not Alabama’s.”

At Oklahoma, he grew up.”

Despite the fact that Hurts was a starter on a national championship team with Alabama, Johnson claims it can’t be claimed because the quarterback was pulled at halftime.

“You don’t have the right to claim Jalen Hurts because he had his most successful season at Oklahoma,” Key countered, “because he lost his starting job.”

Even if his degree is from Alabama, you can’t claim it.”

Tua Tagovailoa took over for Hurts in the second half as a freshman and led Alabama past Georgia in overtime to win the national championship 26-23.

Tua’s transfer to OU was understandable, and Hurts eventually transferred to ‘Bama.

Hurts threw for 3,581 yards and ran for 1,298 yards in his single season with the Sooners.

He finished the season with 52 total touchdowns and only eight interceptions, putting him in second place in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Hurts wasn’t seen as a potential NFL quarterback before Oklahoma. Scouts praised his leadership and intangibles, but he didn’t show enough arm talent at Alabama to make the jump to the next level.

That, of course, changed.

Hurts now starts for the Philadelphia Eagles, who are in second place in the NFC East.
