ARSENAL fans are fearing losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the star’s father hinted he could be leaving.
The 31-year-old is out of contract next year and has failed to agree an extension with the Gunners.
Speculation is mounting over his future as Barcelona continue to be linked with a swoop for the star.
He bagged a brace in the 3-2 win over Watford yesterday as he narrowly avoided winning the Golden Boot for a second-straight season.
Aubameyang’s father, Pierre-Francois, took to Instagram afterwards to congratulate his son on a great season but admitted the striker’s future is not clear.
He wrote: “My son, who wouldn’t be proud to have a son like you. Bravo, bravo, bravo.
“You really are a scorer. Every season you respond with your efficiency, last season 22 goals, this season 22 goals.
“I can only congratulate you and tell you once again my pride.
“We must make the right decision for the rest of your career.
“They speaks a lot in the press, they do not know that we are Bantu and that there is a hierarchy the decision is taken after the advice of the wise man who is your father.
“We will be set very soon, sleep peacefully my son, your father watches the grain. I love you.”
The cryptic message has left supporters fearing the worst.
They are desperate for the Gabon star to commit his future to the club.
But if he fails to do so then the Gunners could be forced to cash in.
However, the club’s official Twitter account has teased a potential new contract.
Following the victory, they posted an image of Aubameyang, 31, celebrating one of his goals, accompanied by the “Writing Hand” emoji that often goes alongside new contract announcements.
They captioned the post: “Signing off with a W!”
And it’s not the first time of late than an announcement has appeared in the pipeline.
In training on Saturday, while grinning ear-to-ear, Aubameyang himself appeared to make a signing gesture with his hands, sending some fans online into frenzy.
