CHELSEA fans were left chuckling that their new 2020/21 away kit looks like “pyjamas”.
On Tuesday, the Premier League side released images of the “classic tailored” design to a generally positive reception.
Having already donned the new home kit, sponsored by mobile network Three, Chelsea showed off an “arctic blue” design for upcoming away days.
As ever, fans found a way to gently poke fun at the style choices with the kit likened to pyjamas and a sheet of metal.
The club officially describe it as: “Inspired by a classic tailored aesthetic but filtered through a modern street lens and colour palette.”
In the comments section, Chelsea supporters gave their own take.
One fan account enthusiastically replied: “PYJAMAS FC.”
To which Twitter user Nelson replied: “I think the plan is to make people not take us seriously so we can sneak past them next season.”
Sophia added: “Loving this away kit.”
Mark joked: “Looks very Coventry City.”
But Tony insisted: “Looks sharp.”

And Hale noted: “The sponsor still kills it.”
Chelsea could pull on the shirt for the first time later tonight when travelling to Crystal Palace for a 6pm kick-off at Selhurst Park.
With Watford comfortably dispatched on the weekend, Frank Lampard’s side can climb above Leicester into third place with a victory – temporarily, at least, with the Foxes hosting Arsenal later on.
