Danny Kanell has a direct message for the CFB Playoff Selection Committee.

The College Football Playoff committee released its new top 25 on Tuesday night, and it sparked a lot of debate.

Danny Kanell, a college football analyst, awoke with a fiery take after a few hours of letting the rankings sink in.

He doesn’t like the SEC’s bias, particularly Mississippi State’s high ranking.

He believes Georgia should not be ranked higher than Clemson.

The Tigers have a better record, and all three of their losses have come to ranked opponents.

“Mississippi State (6-4!!) is ranked higher than Clemson (7-3), which has lost all three games to Top 25 opponents,” Kanell said this morning.

“And we didn’t lose to Memphis.”

This committee and process has proven time and time again to be the absolute worst way to choose a champion.”

The victory of Mississippi State over Clemson wasn’t the only point of contention in the rankings.

Following the announcement of the rankings, Gary Barta, the chairman of the playoff committee, attempted to explain why Michigan was ranked higher than Michigan State.

“Forget about watching the games, though it’s a big part of it.”

But, statistically, Michigan beats Michigan State in almost every category, both offensively and defensively,” he explained.

The playoff committee received a lot of flak for its rankings this week on Tuesday night.

Naturally, when determining a top 25 is subjective, there will always be something to complain about.
