Some supporters have predicted when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be sacked after Manchester United’s fixtures for the 2019-20 Premier League season were revealed – but others believe the club could capitalise on a kind start.
The Norwegian’s side, who finished sixth last season, will host Chelsea on opening day before facing a tricky trip to Wolves, with Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham to play before Arsenal at home on September 28.
With a trip to Newcastle on October 5 then Liverpool at home on October 19, Solskjaer will hope his team – who added Daniel James to their ranks on Wednesday – can use their opening 10 games to regain their top four spot.

One fan identified the match at Norwich on October 26 as Solskjaer’s last after ‘a disastrous 2-0 defeat’.
However, a fellow supporter believes the club are capable of winning their first 15 games to set up a strong campaign.
Another has a little more faith and believes he will hold out until December, despite just three wins from his first 14 league games.
One fan believes it will be the fixture against Liverpool that will be the 46-year-old’s undoing, claiming ‘Klopp is gonna sack Solskjaer’.
Despite a strong start after taking over from Jose Mourinho as caretaker manager in December – winning eight consecutive games – results fell away badly when Solskjaer was confirmed as the club’s permanent boss.
This has left many fans doubtful of breaking back into the top four this coming season.
Indeed, a supporter has even labelled the Leicester home game on September 13 as Solskjaer’s last.
